Chip Tuning and Repair

What is Car Chip Tuning?

Car chip tuning, also known as engine remapping, is the process of modifying the electronic control unit (ECU) of a vehicle to improve its performance. The ECU is a computer that controls various systems in the vehicle, including the engine, transmission, and other critical systems.

During chip tuning, the ECU is reprogrammed to modify various parameters, such as fuel injection timing, ignition timing, and turbo boost pressure, among others. These modifications can improve the performance of the vehicle, including increasing horsepower and torque, improving acceleration, and enhancing fuel efficiency.

Chip tuning is typically performed by automotive specialists using specialized software and equipment. The process involves connecting a computer to the ECU and downloading the current settings. The specialist then modifies the settings to achieve the desired performance improvements and uploads the new settings to the ECU.
