Auto Scanner Repair

What is Auto Scanner?

A Car Auto Scanner, also known as an OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics) scanner, is a device that is used to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a vehicle's engine and other systems. The OBD-II system is a standardized system that is present in most vehicles manufactured after 1996, and it allows mechanics and vehicle owners to access information about the vehicle's performance and health.

The Auto Scanner plugs into the OBD-II port, which is usually located under the dashboard of the vehicle. It then communicates with the vehicle's onboard computer to retrieve information about the vehicle's systems, including engine codes, sensor readings, and other diagnostic information.

The Auto Scanner can be used to identify and diagnose issues in the vehicle, such as engine misfires, transmission problems, and emissions issues. It can also be used to reset certain error codes and turn off warning lights, such as the check engine light.

Some Auto Scanners are standalone devices, while others may require a smartphone or tablet app to display the diagnostic information. There are also more advanced Auto Scanners that can provide real-time data logging and analysis, as well as more advanced diagnostic features.
